In order to get to St. Andrews, there are a few different ways to travel. For most vacationers who travel to St. Andrews, you are going to have to take an airplane to get there. So when you are traveling to St. Andrews, my suggestion is that you fly into Edinburgh. That is the nearest major international airport to St. Andrews. If you fly into Edinburgh, you are only about 60 minutes away from St. Andrews by train or car. If you do have to go those 60 minutes, I highly suggest taking a car ride. The scenery is gorgeous.

If you are looking to get into St. Andrews via train, the closest train station is Leuchars. Leuchars is 10 kilometers away from St. Andrews. To get there, the trains that feet into Leuchars are from Edinburgh and Dundee. There are also a few trains that come from London as well. To get from Leuchars to St. Andrews, you can take a bus, that takes you there. You can get your train and bus ticket combined into one, and save a little money.
