The Fairmont St. Andrews

The Fairmont St. Andrews has two of the most tremendous links golf courses in all of Scotland. The courses lay on the cliffs overlooking St. Andrews Bay, which is recognized as small addition to the ever-so-famous courses at the St. Andrews Links.

The courses were designed by Sam Torrance and Bruce Devlin, who had the vision of building a course that is a links course in style, but nice enough to suit the needs of guests at a high-class resort. This links style allows golfers of all levels to find the course playable (not too difficult and not too hard). The courses also have multiple tee boxes ranging from making each hole easy to difficult, so you choose your level of difficulty.

Proudly overlooking its two magnificent golf courses, the Fairmont St. Andrews backs toward the famous St. Andrews skyline. The Fairmont St. Andrews, really goes above and beyond for a 5-star hotel. With 209 guest rooms, each one allows hotel guests to relax not only in comfort, but in style too. And don’t forget about the Fairmont’s staff which pride themselves in and unbeatable quality of customer service. Overall, the St. Andrews Travel Guide highly recommends the Fairmont St. Andrews.

Any ideas as to the costs of the Fairmont? If not, might you know of any hotels that we can stay out that might be a little more affordable. In general, Fairmont’s a a tad bit over-priced for the typical American family :) Thanks!
